January Favorites!

Time to reveal my favorite products that I haven’t been able to put down this month! On a daily-basis, these are the items I reach for and automatically know will work with any makeup look! I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had something represented for face, eyes and lips this month. Also all of these products were new discoveries to me during the month! I hadn’t previously tried them or versions of them before, so it was awesome to have great first impressions of each item!

Shoutout to my cousins for getting me the Anastasia Beverly Hills “Modern Renaissance” eyeshadow palette! I wanted this so bad, but constantly convinced myself I didn’t “need” it and had similar shades in my collection. However, once I swatched and applied these gorgeous shadows on my eyes, I realized how pigmented and special they are! The matte shades in this palette are super rich and buttery, very blendable and last all day on the eyes! The shimmery shades are really subtle and not overly glittery, which I personally love! You can definitely build them up to be more metallic by spraying your brush with M.A.C Fix Plus or another makeup setting mist! If you love warm toned eyeshadows and want a palette that will certainly inspire creativity, then I would pick this one up! I definitely want to use this for a Valentine’s Day makeup look, so let me know if you would like to see a blog post on that!

Too Faced produces my absolute favorite bronzers on the market, so I was super excited to finally try out their “Sweethearts Bronzer” in the shade, “Sweet Tea.” As you can see, it is split into a lighter and darker shade, but typically I just mix the two with a fluffy powder brush and dust it onto the places the sun would naturally hit my face! I have been loving it since the color isn’t too warm or too cool toned. It gives your skin a very radiant and natural glow, without being glittery, which can be hard to find in a bronzer! I seriously use this product every single day!

The L’Oreal “Magic Lumi” primer is a product that is constantly raved about on YouTube and other beauty blogs! When it was at its peak of popularity, I had super oily skin and the thought of using a radiant primer actually scared me. For whatever reason, my skin totally changed throughout the years and has become super dry and in need of moisture! Now that I am all about the dewy-skin products, I had to try this out! Once you apply it on your skin, it immediately gives you a pearly glow that is definitely not subtle. At first this made me nervous and I worried it could potentially emphasize pores or texture, but once I put foundation or powder on top, it looks actually turns out really beautiful! Make sure you put this on your shopping list if you have dry skin and want to give your face a natural glow!

I picked up a cute, little holiday set from Laura Mercier that four featured miniature versions of her top rated “Caviar Sticks,” which are basically her signature cream eyeshadows! My favorite shade in the set is, “Rose Gold” because it’s super wearable and lasts all day long! Sometimes I use this product as an eyeshadow base, but mostly I just blend it on my eyelids with my finger and wear it alone! It is super quick and easy, plus I never have to worry about it creasing or fading throughout the day! I really want to try other Laura Mercier products because I’ve been so impressed with these and the translucent finishing powder, so let me know what items in her line are your favorite!

Thankful for my cousins once again, because they gave me this NYX “Lip Lingerie” liquid lipstick in the shade, “Ruffle Trim.” I am so in love with this formula because it dries down super matte, but isn’t drying on the lips or uncomfortable in any way! This product does not settle into the lines on your lip and has such a lightweight, moussey texture! I love the shade selection too because they’re wearable on a day-to-day basis! They are also a really great price for a drugstore liquid lipstick!

My first Charlotte Tilbury purchase is the famous, “Lip Cheat” in the shade “Iconic Nude.” This lip liner is seriously holy grail status because it does not fade or transfer. I love the look of fuller, more plump lips, but sometimes worry that lip liners may over exaggerate in a really unnatural way! If you start outlining at the corner of your top lip, you will give yourself a guide on how to enhance your lip line in a balanced way! Do the same on the bottom lip, by beginning on the corner and you will find it’s a lot easier to over line your lips in a subtle way! This shade is the perfect natural lip liner for my lip shade because it has a brown, neutral undertone, rather than pink or red. This helps give a natural looking shadow-effect whenever I layer a lipstick or lip gloss on top!

Thanks for reading about the makeup I have been loving during the month of January! I really hope I helped you discover a product that maybe you were on the fence about before! Please let me know what new products have worked their way to the top of your favorites list this month! I love reading your suggestions and trying out makeup that other beauty lovers are enjoying! Have a wonderful week and thank you again for reading!

The modern Renaissance palette is the best! Anastasia knows how to create good eyeshadows. I’ve been seeing more and more people talk about the too faced bronzer I want to try them.
